The New Yorker Magazine, February 18 1939, the complete issue in good shape. Rea Irvin did the cover.
Among the writers in this issue: John O'Hara, Wolcott Gibbs, James Thurber (Fables of Our Times, part III), Robert Benchley, Fleta Campbell Springer, David McCord, W.E. Farbstein, Alan Campbell, Margaret Fishback, James Reid Parker, and Mildred Western.
The cartoonists are: Helen E. Hokinson, George Price, James Thurber, Peter Arno, Gardner Rea, Charles Addams, Sydney Hoff, Robert J. Day, William Crawford Galbraith, and Richard Taylor.
This issue also includes part three of an extensive profile of Mrs. Marjorie Post Close Hutton Davies, wife of Ambassador Joseph E. Davies.
The pages are crisp, bright white without a hint of foxing, no writing, no creases, nothing missing, tight to the staples, with light staining at the bottom edge which seems to affect the center pages moreso than the outer pages, though it is at the bottom edge of the cover. Strictly graded Good; it was put away when brand new (along with many others we have) by an obsessive New Yorker collector from whom we acquired it, almost untouched since new until now.
